Subtitle reading speed (characters per second)

What we measure and how

Per-cue characters-per-second is computed as text length ÷ display duration. Cues exceeding `max_cps` (typically 17 cps for adult broadcast, 12 cps for accessibility-focused specs) flag the check. Adjusted for non-Latin scripts where 1 character ≠ 1 reading unit.
