Segment marker accuracy

Segmentation marker accuracy (region-typed routing)

What we measure and how

Verifies that a segmentation marker's region typing agrees with the essence before region-typed routing (SQC-1120/1125) is allowed to skip any check there. The verifier samples inter-frame motion across a region a marker typed as a static test signal (bars & tone, slate/clock); if programme-like motion is found, the marker disagrees with the content and routing falls back to running every check over that span (no checks skipped). When the spec marks its markers conformance-bearing (segmentation.markers_conformance_bearing — e.g. DPP IMF, SMPTE ST 2067-3 CPL markers), an inaccurate marker is a conformance failure in its own right, independent of and not excused by the essence passing its own checks.
